Over the winter months, PSC residents prepared several meals for The Attic Youth Center, an LGBTQ youth drop-in center in Center City. The Attic provides a safe space for LGBTQ youth to be themselves, and the support and services to help them grow into strong, independent adults. Sadly, in early March, a pipe burst in The Attic’s second floor, destroying their kitchen. With the kitchen shut down, The Attic is unable to provide hot meals to the 45+ youth who stop by to receive services, or just take a load off. For many of these youth, the meal at The Attic may be their only meal or hot food for the day.
The Attic has been very successful so far in their fundraising efforts to restore their kitchen, but they need one last push to help them over their goal. Please consider donating to The Attic to help them repair their kitchen and fully restore their meal services.
